Code of Conduct for
the Pupils
- All pupils should endeavour to excel in the practice of good manners and be obedient and loyal to the school authorities and teachers.
- English is the spoken language in the school. Those who do not speak English are liable for disciplinary action.
- No pupil will be allowed to leave the school premises, without the permission of the Headmistress.
- No pupil will be allowed to go home during class hours, unless a duly authorised person comes to fetch him/her with a letter from t parents.
- Pupils will be granted leave of absence only for very urgent reasons. In case of illness or other unforseen circumstances the pupil on returning to the school, must have the reason of absence certified by his/her parent or guardian. The teacher in-charge of the class may not admit the pupil into the class if this record is not duly filled in by the parent.
- A pupil who has remained absent from the school for 3 consecutive school days without prior permission, shall be admitted into class only with the permission of the Headmistress.
- No student is allowed to come to the school with gold ornaments or with expensive articles.
- No books, other than what are prescribed, periodicals, electronic gadgets (Cell phones, CD) etc. may be brought into the school premises without the permission of Headmistress. Pupils may not exchange library books without the permission of the librarian.
- Any kind of damage to the school property must be paid for. Writing or drawing on the walls or furniture will be penalised.
- Pupils are themselves responsible for their own books, fountain- pen, tiffin-carriers and any other articles they bring to school. Tiffin boxes, bags, umbrellas and books must bear the name of the owner.
- Physical training, games and sports are compulsory activities in the school curriculum. Attendance at all the tests and examinations is essential for promotion to higher classes. A minimum attendance of 75% is required for promotion at the end of the year.
- No text books, note books or other papers are to be brought into the Examination Hall. Students found copying or using unfair means during the examination or discovered subsequently will be dealt with severely.
- Pupils who make any change in the marks shown on the Report card will be given a Zero in that subject.
- Pupils are strictly forbidden to act as messengers between the students and persons outside the school. (Example: Carrying letters, lending books, making purchases etc.) Offenders are subject to stringent disciplinary measures, even dismissal.
- No collection for any purpose, whatsoever, is to be started without the prior permission of the Headmistress.
- No outing, picnics etc, may be planned by students or member of the staff without informing the Headmistress.
- Gifts to members of the staff or other demonstrations in their honour, require the previous permission of the Headmistress.
- The School authorities have the right to dismiss the students for any of the following reasons:
- Habitual contempt shown to the school authorities, immoral behavior, repeated dishonesty, confirmed laziness, absence without Headmistress' permission and non-payment of school dues after reprehension.
- Pupils are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any report of objectionable conduct on the part of any pupil will make her/him liable for disciplinary action. Hence mis-behavior in public places and conveyance is liable to the same action.
- The Headmistress, in the interest of the school may ask a Parent / Guardian to withdraw his child/ward due to the child's misconduct. behavior or influence, which is detrimental to the common good of the school and its smooth running.
